Institute Scholarships for Students and Teachers

Scholarship applications must be postmarked by March 15.

Scholarship application process

Scholarships will be offered to highly qualified candidates based on the following criteria:

  • Financial needs of the applicants
  • Musical or teaching ability of the applicant demonstrated through videotape or audition
  • Programming needs of the institute

Scholarship policies

  • SASA offers a limited number of scholarships to attend the SASA Institute
  • The family must volunteer for a minimum of five hours during the institute. Teacher recipients must volunteer for three hours during the institute. You will be contacted concerning volunteer opportunities.
  • Scholarships will be awarded based on musical/teaching ability as well as financial need.
  • A family must fill in a separate application for each child. Each teacher applicant must fill out the teacher form.
  • SASA may award a full or partial scholarship.
  • A student or teacher who gets a scholarship must wait out one year before applying again.
  • All application information will be held in the strictest confidence by the SASA scholarship committee.
